General Criteria, Qualifications, and Application Process
The Foundation funds projects to directly enhance student learning and that are innovative, creative and/or extend the scope of typical school activities. We do not fund basic school supplies, professional development for teachers, salaries, or routine purchases that would typically be made by the school or school district. Foundation grants should not be seen as replacements for district funding, even in difficult economic times. The impact of the project on students should be commensurate with the requested budget.
Applicant(s) must be employed by the Clarke County School District as certified personnel (classroom teachers, fine arts teachers, media specialists, counselors, etc.) at the time the grant is awarded. If an applicant has previously received a classroom grant, the final report must be emailed to the Foundation (due last day of post-planning); otherwise, the current application is ineligible for review.
Please complete all fields in this electronic grant request. Submissions must be completed by 4:30 pm on the last day of post-planning. Late applications will not be accepted; incomplete applications will not be reviewed. Each application is reviewed by a panel of judges external to the district and the Foundation. Notification of grant recipients will be made at the start of the school year, and funds must be expended by June 30 of that school year.
